Becoming a beauty rep.

Everyone is always looking for a way to make easy money - whether it's on the side of your constant income or a side job for young teens looking to bank some extra cash. If you're like me and love all things beauty and fashion you'll understand why sticking at least my toes in the beauty industry while awaiting my lifetime career is very important to me... I have worked at jobs where I interact with different types of people or even where I am constantly surrounded by hair and make up products. Unfortunately I have grown up to be sort of my own boss and have a hard time listening to what others think is best... So to address my caption: 'Becoming a beauty rep.' I have looked into selling cosmetics such as Mary Kay, Avon and a couple other brands. My favorite, very simple, brand that I have found is Mark Cosmetics. For a miniscule price of $38 you are given the tools to start your own business marketing and selling their products. No hidden fee's, no random payments. When you sign up you are fully equip with an "eboutique" which you can customize to make it your own. I will post an 'Inside my starter kit' post and be sure to keep you updated on whether or not this business is 100% worth the time and effort. Tell me followers, have you worked for yourself before? xxx gem.

I can't tell if I'm hot or cold.

Good morning lovelys,

Today I'm off doing nothing to exciting. Lately my life has taken a huge change and I'm in the midst of deciding what it is I really want. All I know for sure is that I love creating beauty in my daily life and blogging to all of you!

Today I'm wearing a beautiful baby pink blouse from forever 21 with a pair of dark blue Levi's and bamboo boots.
My bag is from a thrift store that I bought for 8$ - crazy right?! Tell me ladies (and gentlemen) what are some thrift store steals you've found?

XOXO gem.

Sparkly nails!

Fall is coming and my pink nails aren't very seasonal. So I tried to figure out what I could do to make my pink nails more seasonal - and then I came up with this. A pale pink with a purple glitter over it. It looks pretty and is super simple.

Paint your two coats - sprinkle on the glitter and add a clear coat! Simple as that.

Try it out and send me some pictures!

Ombré lips and pink eyes

I recently have been really getting into the ombré. Whether its my hair, my nails and now - my lips!

I used a Mica Bella lip pot with a few different color eyeshadows and a lip brush. Now I'm sure you all can imagine how this works - start with your darker color and line the top of your lip and work your way down using a lighter shade every time. When your done blend them in gently using your finger. And voila! A beautiful ombre lip.
